Erica Bucy, LISW

My name is Erica, and in my practice I provide a calm and accepting environment. Here, people can feel safe to explore and find solutions to the problems they face in their everyday lives. I listen to your story, and together we create goals and objectives for you to develop greater insight and skills to help you achieve a better relationship with yourself and your loved ones.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages and sexual orientations. My primary areas of specialty are depression, anxiety and working with teenage girls and young women. Some of the therapeutic approaches I commonly use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Systems Theory, Strength Based, and Structural Family Therapy.

About me: I am a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities. I graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2009. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2013. I am licensed in Iowa as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, reading, gardening, making jewelry, and watching Netflix. I am especially passionate about learning about people, personalities, mental health, behaviors, and relationships.
